During the Autumn term, we launched an exciting new ‘Outdoor Learning Initiative’.  

Primarily, this was to enrich the children’s experiences of working and learning in an outdoor environment as part of our Science curriculum but we also used it as an opportunity to make more of our school House groups.  

Our aim was to broaden the children’s environmental behaviours alongside their personal, social and emotional development. By completing a range of problem solving activities in the mixed age houses each week, pupils experienced the world beyond the classroom as an integral and essential part of their education.
